In comparison to May 2012, prices of agricultural and industrial producer prices increased by 8.0%, and 0.3%, respectively. The decrease resulted only from a negative balance of the natural movement. This drop came primarily from price decreases in 'housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels' and 'communication'. Compared to the previous month, seasonally adjusted industrial production was lower by 0.7%. The planning and building control authorities granted by 14.8% less building permits, y-o-y, and the approximate value of permitted constructions increased by 7.2%, y-o-y. The trade balance ended in a surplus of CZK 33.0 bn, which was by CZK 13,0 bn higher compared to April 2012.
